Andie is a Cleveland area native now living in Boulder, Colorado. Having seen first hand the\u00a0impact of diet on health, Andie and her husband began their plant-based journey in 2009 in an\u00a0effort to heal a variety of autoimmune issues that they were having. Experiencing success with\u00a0their\u00a0diet change, they fully embraced the WFPB lifestyle. \u00a0They developed a passion for WFPB\u00a0cooking and experimenting with new ingredients and recipes. \u00a0They just knew that they could\u00a0show others how simple, delicious, and satisfying eating plant-based could be. \u00a0They love\u00a0hosting friends and family for meals, and have helped many make the transition to a WFPB lifestyle. \u00a0They\u2019ve watched friends lose weight they had battled with for years; lower their cholesterol and blood\u00a0pressure; get off of medications for diabetes, blood pressure, and cholesterol; and regain their\u00a0vitality. \u00a0Andie decided it was time to help others in a broader sense, so she earned her\u00a0certification in Plant Based Nutrition from Cornell\u2019s T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition\u00a0Studies, and her Plant Based Sports and Exercise Nutrition Certification from the Wellness Forum Institute,\u00a0under the instruction of the renowned Dr. Pam Popper. \u00a0She continues to study nutrition and its\u00a0impacts on various health conditions through the Wellness Forum Institute.<\/div>\n

Scott is a Florida native and a proud UCF Knight and Florida Gator and has worked as an IT Consultant for over 23 years. \u00a0Having grown up in the South – Florida, Louisiana, and North Carolina respectively – he had a love for traditional Southern cuisine. \u00a0While wholeheartedly embarking on the whole food, plant-based journey with Andie, he was looking forward \u00a0to recreating his favorite dishes in a way that was both kind to their health and the planet. \u00a0He has created amazing plant-based renditions\u00a0of Paella, Gumbo, Buffalo Wings, Jalape\u00f1o Poppers, Queso, and more. \u00a0He was an assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the University of Florida in the 1990’s, and has since found that changing to a WFPB diet increased his stamina and strength, while also reducing his fatigue and recovery time. \u00a0He is often asked by his younger counterparts how he achieves his gains in performance and muscle growth and is proud to credit his plant-based lifestyle, shattering the stereotype that strength, endurance, and even masculinity are equated with the consumption of animal products.<\/div>\n

Andie and Scott have 2 sons, ages 8 and 18. \u00a0Their youngest son, Kai, was the product of a WFPB\u00a0pregnancy and was almost 10 pounds at birth (and 22.5″ long). \u00a0He continues to grow big and strong on this WFPB lifestyle. \u00a0Their teenage son, Tristan, is an avid\u00a0weightlifter whose goals inspired Andie to study WFPB Sports and Exercise Nutrition.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
